 Martin Luther King Jr.

I read the book Learning About Dignity from the Life of Martin Luther King Jr. by Jeanne Strazzabosco. I learned that Martin Luther King Jr. was born in 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia and he died in 1968. I also learned that he is famous because he changed things nicely so American people are fair. I think Martin Luther King Jr. was caring.

 Tyrannosaurus Rex

 

I learned about Tyrannosaurus-Rex.  This dinosaur lived in the Cretaceous period 65-70 million years ago.  Tyrannosaurus-Rex was a carnivore.  This means that it ate meat.  Tyrannosaurus-rex walked on two legs.  It was forty feet long, eighteen feet tall, and it weighed eight tons.  One interesting fact I learned about Tyrannosaurus-Rex is that it was a good hunter.  It also followed the slow moving or the injured dinosaurs that were plant-eating dinosaurs and it waited for the right time to attack.  Another interesting thing I learned was what the dinosaur lived in what is now the Western United States and Canada.  The climate was warm and wet during the time T-Rex lived.  I think learning about dinosaurs is fun!

Brachiosaurus 

 

I learned about Brachiosaurus. This dinosaur lived in the Jurassic period 150 million years ago. Brachiosaurus was an herbivore. This means that it ate plants. Brachiosaurus walked on four legs. It was fifty feet tall and it weighed 88 tons. One interesting fact I learned about Brachiosaurus is that its front arms were longer than it’s back legs. Another interesting thing I learned is the first Brachiosaurus fossil was found in Colorado in 1900. I think learning about dinosaurs is cool.

Icthysaurus

 

I learned about Icthysaurus. This reptile lived in the cretaceous period 140 million years ago. Icthysaurus was a carnivore. This means it ate meat. Icthysaurus swam. It was 5 feet long and1.5 meters tall. One interesting fact I learned I learned about Icthysaurus  is it was not a dinosaur.  It was a reptile because dinosaurs were land animals only. Another interesting fact I learned is it lived longer than the dinosaurs. I think learning about dinosaurs is amazing.

Diplodocus

           I learned about Diplodocus.  This dinosaur lived in the Jurassic period 150 million years ago.  Diplodocus was an herbivore.  This means that it ate plants.  Diplodocus walked on four legs.   It was 90 feet long.  One interesting fact I learned about Diplodocus is it’s name means double beam. Another interesting thing I learned is Diplodocus had a whip like tail.

I think learning about dinosaurs is interesting.
