What The Library Means To Me by Ryan 1J

It means to keep the library books organized.  This makes it easier to find the books when you want them.  The library means to keep it clean at all times.  This makes it a good place to sit and read books.  You should respect the library by following the library rules.  It means to not color in the books and keep them in good shape.  You should respect the books and not rip them.  You should whisper in the library to allow other people to read.  You should respect the computers by using them the right way.  The right way is to not download things without permission.

I like it when Mrs. Wheeler comes in to help out.  I like it when Ms. Wilson reads stories to us.  The library is a good place to read, learn, and take out books.  I like when we have centers.  I like when the librarian helps us find the books we want to borrow and shows us how to find them for ourselves.  I like when we do crafts that go along with the stories.  It is fun when Nipa and I get to push in the books and then get stickers!  In the library, when we did the around the world reading contest, I learned a lot.  I can't believe Nipa won twice!

Why should you go to the library?  You should go to the library because reading builds your vocabulary, helps you with your fluency, and if you are into a book, it is like a TV in your head.  You could go to the Maple Hill Library or the Public Library or a library near you and you can borrow books for free.  But there are rules.  Number one, do not rip anything in the book.,  If you do, you have to buy it and I don't think you or the people that work there would be happy.  Plus, you can only keep a book for a certain amount of time.  So please check out a book from your local library.

I like the library because it has a lot of fun activities to do and there are all different kinds of books to read.  Have you  ever gone to a library?  If you go, check out all the cool books.  You will see who won the poster and essay contests there.  If you want to find information about our school, Maple Hill Elementary School, just go on Naugy.net and you will see what the front of our school looks like. If you have children put them in Maple Hill School.  This is a really great school.  Ms. Wilson is a great librarian and her helper Mrs. Soucy is great too.  Mrs. Soucy and Ms. Wilson love kids and love to help.  If you need something just ask either of them.  If you are looking  for a copy of a book, you can find it in the Maple Hill Library.   You can even be a helper when you grow up.
