Task #1 Define the task: You will be assigned one class of animals (bird, reptile, mammal, amphibian, insect, or fish). You will write an animal classification report that lists the characteristics of that class of animals using the data form. You need to describe its distinctive features. Features to include: vertebrate or invertebrate, warm or cold blooded, type of skin/body covering, how it breathes, and how it reproduces. You also need to give at least two examples of animals that fit that classification and provide at least two interesting facts. You will use your data form to complete a rough draft. You must write your report in your own words and you must cite your sources. Edit and revise your rough draft to produce your finished report. Next type your finished report in Microsoft Word. The last step is to evaluate your work using the research report rubric. Your project will be due in four weeks. You will be given time to complete your project in both the library and computer lab over the next four weeks. If more time is required, you will need to work on it at home.
